Can my pet make me sick?

There are diseases that can be transmitted from pets to people.  Fortunately, if you follow all of your vet's preventive care guidelines, you can minimize an already low risk.   It is a bit frightening that according to the CDC, 14% of the US population that is infected with roundworms contracted them from dogs and cats.
